I love being in the service industry. It’s really a great feeling to watch other women come to my site and learn how to start a business for themselves that they can work from home. I’ve seen many of them give up, but I’ve also seen others build their business into a huge success!

Having good posture and “form” is very important when you spend a lot of time at a computer.  I started typing back in the ‘70’s when you had to really BANG on the typewriter to push the keys.  I’m dating myself here, but that was back before electric typewriters. The keyboards of today are SO much easier on the hands!

For me, my addictive/compulsive nature is the biggest factor. I’m the type that can’t put down a project until it’s finished. I am always learning new things from the audio files I transcribe, so the varying content helps keep things interesting. For others…

That’s the beauty of transcription - you don’t need any formal education! If you can type, you can do this!

The answer to this question really depends on the client. Some clients couldn’t care less how fast you type. They are more interested in how accurately you type.

Absolutely not. If you are planning to work as a sub-contractor or a freelancer, you do not have to have a website.
